About
Serin

Hi, I'm Serin.
I’m a mad, multiply neurodivergent, Disabled, chronically ill, white, fat, queer/demi, trans/gender-fluid person and plural (DID) system of 30+ self-states.
I’ve spent most of my life navigating internal complexity, inadequate support and language, and systems and environments designed to exclude people like me. Those experiences—along with my values, identities, commitment to antiracism and anticolonialism, and deep love for my communities—are the foundation of my work and the reason I care so deeply about supporting others.
I describe my work as
Integrative Human-Systems Practice
I chose the title 'Integrative Human-Systems Practitioner' because I find it difficult to separate individual development from systems change. My work naturally builds bridges and occupies in-between spaces.
I focus on how people grow, create, lead, and sustain meaningful work within systems that shape their lives—and how those systems can be redesigned so that people, organizations, and communities can actually thrive.
In practice, that means bringing together my roles as a: consultant, coach, researcher, educator, care and culture worker, nonprofit leader (currently at Trans-Wa), artist, writer, strategist, content creator, and perpetual learner.
Sometimes these are separate paths, but most often my identities, roles, and ways of thinking are all deeply intertwined.
Regardless of what task I'm doing or which client I'm working with, I carry all of these layers into my work—drawing on multiple fields, extensive lived expertise, and 20+ years of consulting and coaching experience.

HOW I WORK

1:1 Coaching
Collaborative coaching spaces for neurodivergent, creative, and values-driven people navigating burnout, complex identities, and systems that weren’t built with them in mind.

Labs
Structured multi-session coaching containers designed to explore deeper themes such as identity, leadership sustainability, and navigating systemic friction.

Consulting
Strategic consulting for nonprofits, mission-driven organizations, and teams working to redesign systems around accessibility, equity, and sustainability.

Trainings & Workshops
Facilitated learning spaces that help teams explore accessibility, neurodiversity, leadership sustainability, and systemic change in practical and grounded ways.

Design & Content
Creative and strategic work including curriculum design, writing, communications strategy, and accessible educational resources.

Research & Framework Development
Ongoing research and theory development focused on systems change, accessibility, and new approaches to leadership and social transformation.
FOCUS AREAS

Transformative Accessibility
Moving beyond compliance toward accessibility as a form of structural design, cultural practice, and collective care.

Neurodiversity, Disability, Madness, and Chronic Illness
Supporting people and organizations in understanding neurodivergence and disability not as deficits, but as complex forms of human variation.

Confronting Whiteness
Exploring how whiteness and colonial histories shape institutions, leadership, and social systems—and what it means to take responsibility within that reality.
Leadership
Helping leaders navigate complexity, sustain themselves within demanding systems, and build cultures where people can actually thrive.

Identity & Values
Supporting individuals and teams in clarifying identity, purpose, and values so their work aligns with what actually matters to them.
Systems Change
Understanding how systems shape behavior and outcomes—and experimenting with ways to redesign them toward equity, sustainability, and collective wellbeing.

Questions That Drive My Work
Much of my work begins with questions like:
- What happens when people try to do meaningful work inside systems that were never designed for them?
- How do individuals sustain themselves while working toward systems change?
- What would accessibility look like if we treated it as foundational design rather than accommodation?
- How do identity, power, and structural history shape the environments we live and work within?
- What becomes possible when people are supported in showing up as their full selves?
These questions guide my coaching, consulting, research, and creative work.
Outside of formal roles and titles, I’m a parent, partner, first-generation college student, and second-generation farmer.
I live on a small family farm on unceded Nisqually land in Olympia, Washington.
I love spending time with my chosen and furred family, being outside, making art, designing board games, being nerdy about geography, and writing a wide range of things, including fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and lyrics. Ultimately, I'm a lifelong learner and creator who is always exploring new ideas and connections.
I’m also the host of the Anserinae System (they/them, plural), a multiple system (DID) of 30+ self-states who share a body and life. For me, it feels important to center that reality in my work and life, because multiplicity has significantly shaped how I understand identity, systems, power, care, and community.
Who am I outside of 'work'?

Working Together

My work is grounded in collaboration, curiosity, and systems awareness.
Rather than trying to “fix” individuals, I explore the broader systems shaping people's experiences—internal systems, relational systems, and structural systems—and experiment with ways of navigating them differently or transforming them.
Depending on the context, this work may take the form of:
• coaching and Labs
• consulting partnerships
• workshops and trainings
• research and creative collaboration
If you're curious about working together, you can explore options or reach out through the inquiry forms.
Ready to talk?

I offer free inquiry calls where we can:
- Get to know each other
- Explore whether this feels like a good fit
- Talk about possible directions for working together
let's connect!
Hey, no pressure.
I’d love to hear from you—whether you’re looking for support, dreaming up a collaboration, or just curious about what’s possible. Inquiry calls are non-pressuring, non-salesy, and it's totally okay if you decide we're not the right fit.
